VIRTUAL CYCLING EVENT
FULGAZ FRENCH TOUR
Cycling events cancelled worldwide. Both event organisers, fans and fundraising partners all losing out…
Until we came in.
With the majority of the world in lockdown and the team at ACTIV running low on real world events to manage, we partnered up with leading indoor cycling app, FulGaz, to create the FulGaz French Tour!
A 21 stage, indoor cycling grand tour, designed to take riders on a real world journey in and around France. We had three weeks to pull it together and the results were staggering!
The impacts on mental health from COVID lockdowns and restrictions around the world have been immense. So keeping people entertained from their homes, exercising and feeling like part of a larger community was our priority. The bonus came from partnering up with suicide prevention charity, Lifeline Australia to raise much needed funds and help Australians in need.
⁃ 400+ riders participated
⁃ 25+ countries represented
⁃ 100,000km+ collectively travelled through France
⁃ Over $85,000 AUD raised for Lifeline Australia!!
“The FulGaz French Tour opportunity presented in the perfect time for us by ACTIV. The model was incredibly well thought out and easy for us to join as an organisation. People were ready to get involved and as a charity we felt that the call to action to support was concise and compelling.
The website was beautifully built, the media was already organised and we felt that we were so prioritised, especially without being relied upon to advertise heavily to our audience and build participation (which would have been very difficult for Lifeline Australia!)
No words can describe how grateful the entire organisation is for the $85,000 raised which has generated enough revenue to cover the cost of over 2,150 potentially life saving calls.
We would encourage those lucky enough to work with ACTIV and FulGaz events to do so. You will be involved with an extremely well organised event, with open minded people who want to create a great experience for the participant, whilst creating a real social impact for the charity.”
